Mission Statement
We live and work that all people may be united with God and with one another. Our mission challenges us to engage in corporal and spiritual works of mercy and to alleviate the suffering of those who are victims of injustice.

The CSJ life together gives us strength
and vitality for our service to the world.

Community Life
The CSJ life together is a sign of unity. It gives us strength and vitality for our service in the Church and the human community. We recognize our diversity of gifts and encourage one another in our work. We acknowledge our need for forgiveness and reconciliation, support one another in suffering, and are enriched by the joys we share. United in prayer, and the sharing of faith, we grow in love for one another and in our willingness to be responsible and accountable for our life and mission. —Core Constitution

Spirituality
The CSJ spirituality is uniquely apostolic; we recognize
the essential unity of action and prayer, which is
reflective of a contemplative perspective in each
of our lives. —Constitutions, 2

The CSJs strive for holiness, zealous undertakings, and sensitivity to the needs of others. A spirit of gentleness, peace, and joy accompanies this daily striving for the “more.” —Constitutions, 4
